Sweet Soy Fried Pork Chops – Crispy, Tender & Absolutely Irresistible

If you’re looking for a quick, comforting dish that delivers BIG on flavour with minimal fuss, these Sweet Soy Fried Pork Chops are exactly what you need. Golden, crispy edges… tender, juicy meat… and a glossy sweet soy drizzle that turns a humble pork chop into something truly special. This is one of those recipes that feels like a treat but is simple enough for any night of the week.

Inspired by the nostalgic flavours of Chinese home cooking, this dish combines two essential elements: perfectly fried pork and a rich, sweet-savory sauce made from just a handful of classic Asian pantry staples. Together, they create a meal that’s satisfying, comforting, and completely moreish.

How to Serve

This dish is most delicious:

Over steamed jasmine rice
With a side of stir-fried greens
With fresh chilli slices for extra heat (optional)
Or topped with crispy garlic for added crunch

However you enjoy it, it’s guaranteed to become a new favourite.

Instructions

  • Once the pork chops are nice and thin and tender, place them into a bowl along with all the marinade ingredients except the oil.
  • Massage into the meat and then add the oil and massage again to seal in the flavours.
  • Now to make the sweet soy sauce; place all the sauce ingredients into a saucepan and gently heat until the sugar has dissolved then immediately remove from the heat and allow to cool.
  • Place a wok over a medium to high heat and fry your pork chops in the oil until golden brown, crispy and cooked all the way through.
  • Once cooked, chop into slices and serve over freshly steamed rice along with your sweet soy sauce.
